FULLY SPLIT BEARINGS. A company in Ontario were having problems with a long shaft that required support in the middle to stop it whipping. Because the shaft could not be removed they required a fully split self aligning bearing for a 1 1/2" shaft mounted in a 4 bolt flange split housing. Arvis sent a model and drawing of the  FL4S-24E fully split bearing and housing. The unit was shipped out the next day by air freight.

SALES. The Company announced increased  sales of  30% over the last 12 months.

SPECIAL UNITS. The New York Power Authority approached Arvis as they were having trouble with some SAF315 & SAF318 bearing housings breaking, Arvis suggested their FC heavy duty steel bearing housing range but with the same dimensions as the SAF housings and using the same seal configuration.. The company were interested but required evidence that the housings would be strong enough to take the loads.

Arvis supplied full finite element analysis figures (Link to FEA) showing a safety factor of 8 over the required maximum loading and was able to win the order. The customer  required full fitting and assembly instructions which were supplied in an animated form showing exactly how to assemble the unit.

After receiving the parts and assembling them, Arvis received an email from the customer stating. The parts look great and assembled easily, nice job.
